Tesco Bank – Transforming Policy Management System Via A Mobile Platform

Description

Tesco Bank, a leading insurance and banking solutions provider, teamed up with us to create an integrated virtual platform that could help its customers to purchase and manage travel insurance policies from any device in a smooth way. Since they were a reseller of one of largest insurance providers a real time module to track the policies and claims was also set up.

Challenge

Tesco Bank wanted a web application that was focused on end customers, limiting the project to a B2C model. Tesco Bank wanted to build an effective platform that would help consumers to purchase travel policies without worrying about availability on desktops and laptops, documentations, verifications, calculations etc. In short, Tesco wanted all these features on a web application that could also be used on a mobile platform. In order to elevate customer service and optimise cost, TESCO approached us to create an intuitive mobile platform. The idea was to create an ecosystem where they and their white label insurance partner track all insurance related queries on the go.

Solution

A robust mobile application with an impressive UI/UX, while maintaining robustness and scalability was developed. With the launch of the app and robust integrated backend experience for the customers who are interested in travel insurance policies improved manifold. While we also continued to develop and manage a secure Centralized Card Payment System (CCPS). This CCPS followed the PCI-DSS standards and ensured that all the credit card (which are allowed to buy Tesco Travel Policy) information is properly encrypted and protected. Gradually, with the rise in the number of customers buying policies from mobile devices an advanced version of reporting was introduced. With improved experience and support for existing customers due to seamless integration with the core backend both users and insurance providers saw a fall in insurance buying and claim processing time.
